JOAQUÍN 

Joaquín Díaz is a Dominican multi-instrumentalist, musical director, composer, arranger and producer best known for co-writing and producing records for multi-award winning, multi-Platinum singer, songwriter and Latin music luminary Romeo Santos. Notably, Díaz is behind some of Santos' most successful singles, "Cancioncitas De Amor", "Héroe Favorito", "Imitadora" and "Sobredosis" among others. Joaquín found his musical inspiration through Elvis Presley and the Beatles. From a young age, he knew that his future would be tied to music in some way or another.

 

Díaz studied under some of Jazz's greats Ron Carter, Dick Lieb and Ray Santos. To further master his piano skills, Joaquin then learnt under Salsa legends Papo Luca and Ricky Gonzalez which later lead to his collaboration with world-renowned Salsa singer Tito Nieves. Díaz collaborated with Latin Pop's biggest names Enrique Iglesias, Ricardo Montaner, Cristian Castro and Franco de Vita among others. Today, Díaz holds the position as Romeo Santos' Musical Director. He has become the key collaborator in the creative and recording process behind Romeo Santos' multi-award winning and multi-Platinum albums. He has performed in legendary venues including Madison Square Garden, Staples Center and Yankee Stadium and has appeared in top television shows including the Latin Grammys, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The White House Salute to the Troops, and the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Joaquín is a force to be reckoned with. His growing passion and thirst for music have allowed him to seamlessly weave between genres making him the multifaceted musician he is today.
